The Story Behind The Parkinson’s Coach

Helping people with Parkinson's across the UK to stay active and move better

About Me
I’m a personal trainer, running coach, and former GB age-group triathlete with a strong belief in the power of exercise to help you move better, build confidence, and feel better in yourself day to day.

In 2018, when my father-in-law was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, our family was faced with many of the same questions and uncertainties that so many people experience after a diagnosis.  It can feel overwhelming and difficult to know where to start.

I wanted to help in a way that really made a difference, so I began looking into how exercise could support him to live well with Parkinson's.  What I found was both encouraging and clear — research consistently shows that the right kind of exercise can help people build strength, improve balance and feel more positive in everyday life.

To make sure I could support him safely and effectively, I went on to complete a Level 4 Specialist Qualification in Exercise for Long-Term Neurological Conditions. I'm also a CIMSPA-approved Senior Practitioner in Physical Activity and Health.

Since then, I’ve seen firsthand how the right type of exercise for Parkinson’s can help people improve mobility, move with greater confidence  and feel more capable in everyday life.  With the right support, it can also become something you genuinely enjoy and look forward to as part of your daily routine.

My Mission
Through The Parkinson’s Coach, my aim is to support you in taking a positive and proactive approach to living with Parkinson's, through a specialist exercise programme.

I provide simple, practical guidance to help you move more, move better and stay active in a way that feels safe, manageable and right for you.

Parkinson’s disease affects everyone differently, and starting - or even continuing - exercise can sometimes feel overwhelming. But with the right guidance, exercise can be a powerful tool to help you stay active, build confidence and feel better in yourself day to day.

I'm here to support and guide you - so you can feel more confident in your movement, make informed choices, and take positive steps forward at your own pace.  You don’t have to do this on your own.
